Wooden roller shutters

The manufacture of high-quality wooden roller shutters is one of our core competencies.

For over 150 years, the wooden roller shutter has without doubt remained one of the finest styles of roller shutter. They protect the house from heat and cold, as well as noise, the weather and also against intruders.

Machined from selected, fine-grained Nordic pine or Siberian larch (other types of wood are available on request), the wooden planks are cut into slats and then profiled on a four-sided planing machine. The finished profiled slats represent the base material.

Both visual and haptic checks are performed on the slats, whereby any cracks or small knots are cut out. The slats are then cut to the desired length and slotted together.
The slats are subsequently sorted by hand for each roller shutter. The chrome steel strip is then drawn in and fastened with stainless steel clasps. The end rail can either be made from anodised aluminium or larch wood. The wooden roller shutters are now ready for further treatment.
